These are a few of my favorite things...

My girl Robin posted a blog about the things she loathed. So I decided to blog about the things that make me smile. Some are ongoing and some are random happenings. You decide which is which.

Let's begin with the kiddos:

I love it when....
1. Gaines and Gralynn stop wrestling and just hug for a moment
2. When Gralynn first wakes up and puts her hand behind my neck, stretches, and says "I just love you."
3. If I've been gone away from Gaines and I enter the room only to be greeted with the biggest smile and he stops what he is doing, screams "Mama" and runs over to me and gives me a great big hug
4. The smell of freshly bathed kids in their pj's and Gaines doing his ritualistic naked run around upstairs before bath
5. When all four of us play on my bed together, laughing and tickling
6. Watching Gralynn dance and sing when she thinks no one is looking
7. Telling Gralynn special "Doris Dailey" stories at bedtime and rubbing her back
8. I love that I'm the one Gaines runs to for comfort...right now anyway
9. Looking in my rearview mirror and seeing brother and sister share a snack
10 Watching them both learn and discover something new (I'm a teacher, of course I like that!)

Now to other favs:
1. dryer sheets
2. warm out-of-dryer clean sheets
3. my new shampoo--Pantene for long, lustrious locks
4. no lines at the store
5. when I make a meal and Greg actually likes it
6. my time at night watching shows with Greg--even though we're both on our laptops
7. when I learn scripture with fresh hears
8. when I get phone calls from dear friends
9. naptime
10. 4am- it's the best time of the day. I used to set my alarm for 4 am in my house on Cheshire and sit at my window seat watching and listening to the calmness all around--my reflect time..now I just wake up, no alarm needed!
