My house is an old house. It's very similiar to the house I grew up in and I love it. It's not fancy, or huge, or stuffy. In fact, the old couple who lived in it previously were here for 28 years! They have done some renovations, like updating the kitchen and adding a large wrap around porch and sun room. Thus, creating three dens. By three dens, I mean three rooms that could serve as many combinations of TV room, study, play room, dining room, living room, etc. Now if you know me, this is both a dream and a curse b/c I do love my options, but sheesh, I can NEVER make up my mind. SOOOO, I called my mom the other night and said 'I think I have it---I think I have figured out my house"! Meaning, I've decided to change things up AGAIN. So here begins phase one- organizing, moving, and streamlining the Playroom. I'm trying to sell my dining room suit b/c I don't like it, don't need it, and would rather have the space. (Traditional house layouts and uses have never been an interest of mine). SO- we have a closet under the stairs in the "dining room/ living room" at the front of the house. The closet already has built-ins, so I've decided: THIS is the new playroom. No, the kids don't have to stay in the closet and play, but their stuff WILL be stored neatly dangit!
If you're up for redecorating or shopping--come my way, cuz it's the kick I'm on!!
Oh and---Greg and I were going to NYC this weekend through Tuesday while the bathroom renovation takes place, but we've (I've) decided to use our money for more projects :0) Plus, we have those two children that can't take care of themselves.....

Phase one looks great! It's all so neat and organized. Way to go!
I have been trying my best to clean and organize, but I just get so overwhelmed. It seems like the more I do, the more there is to do. Ugh!
Have a great trip! We went to NYC last spring break and it's a perfect time. Fewer crowds and (a tiny bit) warmer.
