All My Children

When I refer to "my children" in this blog title, I am talking about the ones Greg and I raised in Jacksonville. We started our ministry with youth in 2001. That same group of kids is now graduating college, getting married, having babies...growing up. I just got back from my second youth wedding in Jax. To give background, Greg worked at Beach methodist Church. This church is THE foundation for my faith in God as an adult. Something clicked, I felt the love Jesus has for me through the people at the church, and genuinely fell head over heels with this group of kids. We were there for 2 1/2 years and left for various reasons, but they are the still MY babies. I had an awesome time last night celebrating with my friend Katie and all my kids, families, and friends.
As a bonus, I bought the one piece 70's jumpsuit to wear, but did not have a decent pair of shoes to wear with this outfit, so Katie and I left our hotel room 15 minutes before the wedding started, ran in to the hole-in-the-wall shoe store and found a gazillion awesome pairs of shoes! I only had time and money to buy one pair, though. I love it when that happens----zoom shopping and finding the perfect shoe :0)
